Contract Network Engineer
Specialization: Service delivery support in networking projects.
Job Description: Reporting to Technical Manager. Provide post-sales support in project implementation of customer's projects.
Experience: 3 to 5 years hands-on experience implementing network projects.
- Provide service delivery support (network focus) for customer projects i.e. Internet, LAN, WAN, Voice, Security, Cisco Firewalls etc.
- Manage customer project implementation and maintenance including vendors control and customer's expectation.
- Prepare project documents i.e. detailed network design,project implementation schedule etc.
- Pick up technical know-how of new products and services.
Requirements:
- Min degree in Engineering or Computer Science or its equivalent.
- Min 1 year in enterprise network implementation experience preferably working in service provider environment.
- Strong fundamental knowledge in networking, advanced routing and switching knowledge i.e. IGP/EDP, Q0S, VPN and MLS etc. technologies is a must.
- Hands-on experience in Cisco and Watchguard range of products including routers, switches, firewalls and VPN appliances.
- Load balancers, bandwidth management or other relevant network related products is a plus.
- Good project management skills in ICT solutions.
- Good Knowledge and skills in other areas such as server/system integration solutions or data center services is advantageous.
- Customer oriented, good initiative,self-motivate and able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound analytical and problem solving skills.
- Minimum CCNA.CCNP or equivalent is preferred. Other additional technical certifications is a plus.
